Elevate Happy Hour…
Elevate Happy Hour..
Looking to add a splash of glamour and a sprinkle of whimsy to your next happy hour? Buckle up, because we've got a cocktail recipe that's as pretty as a picture and delicious too. Get ready to dazzle your taste buds (and your Instagram feed) with the Floral Twist.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
50ml gin (or vodka, if you're feeling rebellious)
25ml elderflower liqueur (because ordinary liqueur just won't do)
25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice (for that zesty kick)
10ml simple syrup (because life's too short for complicated drinks)
Edible flowers for garnish (who needs olives when you can have petals?)
Instructions:
Grab your shaker and fill it with ice – the more, the merrier.
Pour in your spirit of choice, elderflower liqueur, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup.
Shake it like you mean it – we're talking a good 15-20 seconds of vigorous shaking. Bonus points for flair!
Strain the liquid gold into a chilled coupe or martini glass. Don't spill a drop – every sip is precious.
Now, here's where the magic happens: garnish your creation with a selection of delicate, edible flowers. The world is your floral oyster!
With a fab blend of gin, elderflower and lemon juice, this cocktail strikes the perfect balance between sweet, sour, and oh-so-sippable.
And let's face it – half the fun of a fancy cocktail is showing it off on social media. Tag us @petalfactory_ on Instagram and @the.petal.factory on TikTok so we can show off your handywork!
Cheers to good times!
Join us at The Hooting Owl Distillery launch.
Filled with eclectic and moody interiors with the stunning copper stills and distillery at the heart of it.
Team Petal recently had the pleasure of attending the new Hooting Owl Distillery and Lounge bar in the City of York! The new venue is the only distillery in the York walls and it is filled with eclectic and moody interiors with the stunning copper stills and distillery at the heart of it.
This new venue has such a great vibe and is the perfect spot to sample the delicious drinks on offer including Hooting Owl’s own spirits including gins, vodkas and rums as well as cocktails, all topped with our bright edible petals!
You can sit and have a relaxed drink whilst watching the distilling process or for a more in depth experience you can book on to one of Hooting Owl’s tasting events which include a tasting tour of their Yorkshire gins and a detailed insight into the history of the brand by master distiller Dom M’Benga.
We would definitely recommend heading into York to try this fab new venue and through extensive research can thoroughly recommend the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and Rhubarb Crumble cocktails!
